Tell us a bit about yourself!

Hi there, I'm Alex, I'm from Greece, I'm 34 and I'm a professional classical pianist currently finishing my 2nd Master's degree. Apart from music, I love languages, learning about the world, and I'm interested in social matters and politics. My hobbies are yoga and Japanese archery and I hope I will soon take up on sewing as well. I also love anime and manga. :)

Share your Stardoll story!

My Stardoll story is a bit dark, since I started playing because I was depressed and I just wanted to escape from reality but fortunatelly I moved on from that not so happy place, and now I'm just playing to procrastinate (lol) when I have deadlines and let off steam when I'm stressed. I also very much enjoy creating wigs, styling my doll and creating weird suites.

Tell us about your StarDesign journey!

My first design looked like a mop. Literally. But I kept on designing, because back in 2014 colorful wigs were not a trend, yet, and I loved colorful hair so much so I had to make them for my doll. I also experimented with body shading, masks and accessories. Nowadays -unfortunatelly from one point of view - I've started making multi part wigs, and I say unfortunately, because I always wanted my wigs to be accesible for purchace without spending hundreds of SD. It's hard to resist making a wig as realistic looking as possible and since I've been making wigs for some years now, that also feels like a needed step of evolving as a creator.

Describe your StarDesigning process.
Excitement about finding a design I like - Trial - Major error - Major disappointment - I might as well quit - Better Trial - Smaller Error - Minor Disappointment - Eh, it's good enough, I'm bored I just want to wear it and sell it already ugh. xD

Lets talk fashion and style! Who inspires you on and off the game?

 
I have a great weakness for japanese fashion, both traditional and contemporary like the designs by Yohji Yamamoto. I also get inspired by japanese art. I love minimalism and extreme pluralism alike. From European designers I love Alexander McQueen, I think he was the first designer that I liked ever. I also get inspired by anime and manga characters and situations, sometimes I feel like instead of writting fanfiction or drawing fanart, I just style my doll and build suites so that I can fangirl on them, hence why my doll often changes from female to male and back again.

Who are your favorite StarDesigners? 
I'm not really a social person neither on Stardoll or in real life, so when I'm in here I rarely interact with people. But some people that have caught my eye in here is Aomicchi/AkaiKitsune, Aura, leticiamodi and iguana.night. There are more but my memory is not the best xD

Got any advice youd like to share with StarBlog readers? 
It will sound a bit dramatic, but don't trust anyone you meet on any soscial platform or game. I don't mean it in a bad way, just that I know from experience that people who spend hours online, they do it for a reason, that reason being more often than not, that they want to escape their own reality. So it's only logical that they will not show their real personality. Lastly, anyone should not put themselves down because someone else might have more in here, better wigs, more expenssive clothes, more trophies etc. they are just as worthy, just as those who have a lot, they are not better than anyone else just for possesing more.
