Summer Styling

hace 102 meses

As Summer is finally upon us, it was only right that I start styling some looks that are perfect for this season. This is such an easy, carefree look, and mega cute with the ice-cream shades. I have taken my inspiration from the 50s, as well as Dolores Haze, Kali Uchis and of course Lana Del Rey (Born to Die era in particular).

As well as pastels, flowers are a major staple for this look. This daisy dress from Bonjour Bizou is perfect, and I love how it is a cut-out style rather than a generic floral print. Plus, it looks so cute with the daisy hair clips! As well as this dress, I also chose a flowery lace mini skirt, and paired it with a lemon yellow bralette. For contrast I paired trainers with both looks, for a more casual edge. Finally, the look isn’t complete without the heart-shaped sunglasses or the thick white frame style.

For the next two looks, I stuck to shorts and cute tops. The gingham-print shorts and off-the-shoulder crop top is totally something Dolores Haze would wear! Carrying on with the flower theme, how perfect are the daisy shaped sunglasses?! A necklace with a dainty pendant (like a heart shape, or even your name) adds to the girly look in a subtle way.

My last two looks are definitely my favourites, and take inspiration from Kali Uchis, with the baby pinks and lilacs, bows and 'mom' hoops. While it's super girly, I have used distressed denim cut-offs and a bulky denim jacket, which I think work perfectly in contrast to pastels.

Thank you for reading! Which one was your favourite look?
