Simon Doonan’s spent this week celebrating the release of his fifth book, Gay Men Don’t Get Fat. It’s a riff on the famous self help book, Why French Women Don’t Get Fat, and sets out to prove the superiority of gays over gamines—in a terribly funny, not at all PC way of course. Yesterday, he hosted a breakfast at Barneys to talk about how the book came to fruition—he wrote it in just six months—and what he plans to do next. The best bits below (and you can get the book on Amazon now). On Gay Vs. Straight Food I can’t believe people ever thought there were four food groups when it’s so obvious that there are two! There’s gay food and straight food. The gayest food, I think it’s got to be macarons. Right? A little box of macarons in all pastels. I think if you lived on macarons you would just explode in a sort of nuclear cloud of gayness. On Red Carpet Dressing People always go back to Bjork and the swan dress simply because nobody’s worn anything that interesting in the intervening years—and that was how many years ago? We haven’t had anything fun like that in ages. On Lessons He’d Like to Teach the Fashion Industry I’m always very uncomfortable if I feel people are very self critical. There’s plenty of those people in the fashion industry who are very self critical, very masochistic in the way they approach their style, their bodies and I think, maybe, that will be what they learn, just to be reckless and have fun and not be self conscious. On Stereotypes I hope it’s playing to stereotypes! I love stereotypes and sweeping generalizations and anything that’s un-PC. In a way you sort of diffuse them if you throw them around. On His Favorite Celebs Tilda Swinton, I always looking forward to seeing her. And that chick from the Dragon Tattoo; she’s pretty great. [Though] it would be terrible if she showed up looking groomed and appropriate.
Amber.Stardoll- Oh no, poor Brad Pitt! We spotted Brad and Angie at the Palm Spring Film Festival clutching a cane! No, it wasn't just a dapper accessory, Brad actually need it! So what happened to him? Well, he injured his ACL (it's a ligament in your knee) when he was playing with his kids! "I was carrying my daughter [Vivienne] down the hill and I slipped...It was either her or me." We're happy to report that Vivienne was fine. Thankfully Brad won't need surgery, but he does need to use his leg less so that's why he has the cane. Angie doesn't seem to mind tho, "I like the cane." We hope that Brad has a speedy recovery! - The recent week there were rumors that Beyonce had given birth to a baby girl named Tiana May Carter, but last night Beyonce was spotted for the first time since reports that she had given birth and with that she denied all rumors. She was rubbing her tummy as she left an office building and it's just a matter of time before her longed-for baby arrives! We can't wait! (celebuzz.)

- People's Choice Awards have decided to uninvite the comedian Russell Brand from the ceremony because of his and Katy Perry's recent divorce. Katy is up for seven of the awards and an insider sais that it is Katy's big night and otherwise it's going to be awkward for organizers in any case after their shock decision to split. While we of course are wishing the best for Katy on the People's Choice Awards, we're also think this is kind of strange and childish. Two public person's and big stars must be able to stay in the same event together anyway, not be afraid might cross paths sometimes. (Perezhilton)

- True Blood actress, Evan Rachel Wood, and Brit star, Jamie Bell, are finally engaged! The two have had an on-again off-again relationship for the best several years, in fact they met back in 2005 while filming a music video for Green Day (Wake Me Up When September Ends). They even have matching tattoos, so it's fitting that they decided to get married! We're really happy for Evan and Jamie! Congratulations! (usmagazine)

- Cameron Jibril Thomaz, more known as Wiz Khalifa, is sued for his song Black And Yellow! The rapper Maxamillion claims that Wiz has infringed his song Pink and Yellow which came out in in 2008. Max claims Khalifa's 2011 number one US single plagiarizes his own 2008 track and is now suing him for $2.3 millions. Both tracks feature rapped repetition of their titles and the song Black and Yellow references the colours worn by sports teams in Khalifa's native Pittsburgh. We can't help feeling like this is just another person trying to make a quick buck of two...Maybe Max is in need of some coffers?(hollywoodheavy.com)

- Aw so cute! We saw Alyson Hannigan with her daughter Satyana when they were out on a stroll in L.A. Why haven’t we seen Satyana on a top list for cutest celeb children? She deserves to be there! Cutest thing ever, don’t you agree?
