One of the most enjoyable things about stardoll is being able to decorate my suite and show it off to everyone who visits. My suite is inspired by my own dream house, I have had so much fun decorating it, I wanted to share with you a couple of simple tricks that I have used on my suite to make it look that bit more lavish! 

Decorate your sofas
In a real mansion, would you really just have a bare sofa? Unless you're going super minimalistic, a couple of cushions or a throw could really make your sofas look more homely.

Books and Flowers
I like to have an odd book, bookshelf or some sort of a plant or flower in each of my rooms. I feel it makes them more personal, and more realistic too- most of the rooms in my real house would have one of those things.
 

Big windows
Big windows make everything better. Have a boring blank wall? Don't know what to do with the side of your room? Just add in a giant window for that luxury apartment effect.
 

Pastel Colours
Regardless of the fact they are totally in at this time of year, decorating in light and airy colours makes your room appear bigger and more airy.
 

Lighting
Never forget lighting- it can really make or break a room! There are tons of options here on stardoll, from chandeliers to candles- you can always find something perfect!
