During Pride month, Stardoll held a competition asking us to share what fashion we would include in a Pride-themed store. The winners would then get to see their ideas in a Stardoll Feat. collection. I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the winners, and I got to choose four items for the release! For this blog post, I have styled some outfits using the items I chose!

For my first outfit, I styled the Marc Jacobs beaded hoops, which I chose as a nod to the Pride flag. I think they’re actually pretty versatile, as you have the multiple colors to match to, and they can also add a pop of color to an otherwise monochrome look. I started with simple pieces as the base of my outfit, with the white strappy crop top and slouchy jeans. You could also choose a white t-shirt or sleeveless turtleneck, and then a pair of jeans in a darker wash or even a denim miniskirt. Then, I chose a pair of strappy orange heels and an orange shoulder bag with a silver chain strap, and then a pair of triangular blue sunglasses. Moving on to my next outfit, where I have styled the ‘wiggle dress’ from Christopher John Rogers’ Spring 2020. When I first read the competition details, I immediately thought of CJR and then this dress. I’m so excited that we now have it on SD! I layered the dress with a white t-shirt and added a pair of white strappy heels. The orange heels from my first outfit would also work. Instead of the t-shirt, you could choose a white shirt or off-the-shoulder peasant top. To accessorize, I chose some pink mini sunglasses and handbag to match the shades on the dress, and then a pair of orange and pink jewel earrings.

I then wanted to style the Louis Vuitton ‘speedy’ mini bag. I chose this bag in particular as for me, it’s an iconic piece from Marc Jacobs’ time at Louis Vuitton, and is from his Spring/Summer 2003 collaboration with artist Takashi Murakami. For my outfit, I chose a few pieces to reference 00s fashion such as the tinted sunglasses, a slinky mini skirt with a side slit, and some colorful sneakers. The sneakers are a nice match to the bag, with the purple matching the rainbow monogram print, and the gold with the bag’s hardware. To complete the outfit, I added a sporty black crop top, some layered gold necklaces, and some hoop earrings. For my final outfit, I have styled the Amina Muaddi heels with rainbow crystal detail on the straps. I chose to go for more of a glam style, pairing them with a leather tube top and matching cropped pants. For an alternative, you could try some cropped tailored pants with a matching blazer and white top (e.g. a t-shirt or camisole), or an oversized blazer and white shirt worn as a dress. I then chose a black headband and mini bag with gold detail. Finally, I added a matching belt with gold buckle and layered some silver and gold necklaces for a mixed-metal look.
