Is it true that dogs and cats are humans’ best friends? Well, as long as a human provides affection and care to his pet, it will grow up in a safe home knowing that its owner loves it. Unfortunately, there are those who abandon their pets and as a result the population of stray dogs and cats is being increased. What are the possible solutions to deal with this problem?

 To begin with, building a shelter for stray animals in order to keep them safe is one helpful solution. For example, the majority of stray pets are suffering from famine, are full of injuries and have an unhealthy lifestyle. Another way could be the adoption of stray pets from responsible and decent families. Consequently, those pets will be collected and housed in a shelter or in a home, where they can be treated with fondness and caring.

Some people abandon the babies when their pet gives birth because of their inability to care for them. Sterilization would solve this problem. We should also encourage the owners to sell or give the babies away to someone responsible. I know that can be hard for their mother to part from her puppies or kittens, but htis is a better solution than abandoning them on the streets.

I believe that with these possible solutions, the number of stray pets will be positively decreased. How do you think we can control the pet population?
