Halloween Clique

99 mesi fa

With Halloween coming up, it's only right that I put together some costumes! Personally, I'm not one for your typical costume, so I chose outfits that could totally work after October 31st!

For all of the outfits in this post, I was inspired by classic film and TV mean girls. With my first looks, we start off in the late 80's with inspiration from my favourite film of all time, Heathers! I went for Veronica and Heather Chandler, though you could of course choose any other Heather. The key to this look is the colour co-ordination and bright blazer, but also classics such as the knife-pleat skirt, scrunchie, swatch watch and mary janes. For props, choose a Croquet mallet or diary.

Moving along to the 90's, my next inspiration comes from The Craft, which follows a group of teen witches - perfect to watch for Halloween! Staples for this look include a customized school uniform (micro miniskirt, untucked shirt, shrunken cardigan), dark florals, flowy skirts, chunky boots, chokers, rosary beads and leather.

Finally, my last looks were inspired by Scream Queens. The styling throughout is perfect, with lots of pastels, fur and embellishments. Similar to Heathers, the Chanel's wore co-ordinating outfits, but each had their own flair - as Chanel was Queen Bee, her outfits had to stand out, and achieved it with a stand-out fur coat, or brighter colours such as bubblegum pink. Chanel #3 isn't seen without her earmuffs, and Chanel #5 opts for a cuter look (think a cute graphic or cat ears).

Thank you for reading! What will you be dressing as for Halloween?
