People thought everything went well between Katy Perry and John Mayer this time around, but now they've gone separate ways. Katy confirmed the split the other day, posting a sad love song on Twitter with the words "Perfectly put".

But the real reason why they split was their many work commitments. John is going out on tour, Katy is working on a new studio album, and apparently they've been fighting a lot recently too, writes Us Magazine.

Sources still think they could get back together, since the split came pretty much from no where.
