Sharp Shoppers: Getting Ready

77个月之前

Hey Dolls!

I've been doing a lot of shopping to get ready for university, and that includes getting new clothes at the mall! Over time, I've picked up some tips and tricks to make the most of the mall-shopping experience, so I thought I'd share some of them in a short series. Let me know if there's anything specific you want me to tackle, or any tips you have!

First up, what do you bring to a mall? What do you wear?

My keyword for a mall outfit is loose. When you're trying on lots of clothes, you'll want to be wearing something quick and easy to take off. No intricate clasps or laces, nothing like tops so tight you'll wreck your hair everytime you pull them off. Of course, you can still look cool and trendy, just in a convenient way!

I try to avoid layers at the mall. It's just more to take off in the fitting room, and I tend to get pretty hot walking around all day. If it's cold outside, try to park near the entrance and leave your coat in the car and run inside before you freeze! I mean, if worst comes to worst, you can carry a coat or cardigan around in the mall, which isn't too tragic.

Your undergarments should be the ones you typically wear, so you can see if they work with what you're trying on. You might want to think carefully if you're trying on sheer tops or short skirts!

For shoes, wear something comfortable to walk around in, but also easy to slip on and off (if you're trying on shoes).

As far as purses, I tend to wear crossbody/shoulder bags a lot at the mall. They're secure, they can carry your phone, wallet, keys, etc, and they leave your hands free to carry all your purchases!
