Let's Talk Skin Care

106个月之前

Hey, dolls!

I've been extensively interested in skincare for awhile now, and love saving up my chore money for new products to test out. Since I've done quite a bit of research, I thought I would share some tips on how to find the best skincare products for people who don't have normal skin, since it can be a bit tricky for them. There are many more skin types, but these are a few common ones I thought I would touch on!

Oily skin: If you have oily skin, your face tends to get shiny or greasy throughout the day. If you have that skin type, stay away from heavy moisturisers that are marketed for dry flaky skin. Try to use oil free products, as that will help prevent acne.

Dry skin: Dry skin tends to have flakey patches and feels very tight. The best solution for that is to use a nice thick moisturiser that will lock in hydration. Try to use one specifically for peeling or flaking. Also, stay away from astringents! Those are designed to strip away oil, which is the worst thing you could do for your skin.

Combination skin: For those of you who have oily and dry skin at the same time, it can be a real challenge to find a product that will hydrate and control the oil. Your best bet is to use a gentle cleanser and light moisturiser. This skin type specifically has to experiment a lot to find the best pair, since everyone is differently balanced as to how much is oily and how much is dry.

I hope these tips will help you find the best way to take care of your face. For some, warm water and a washcloth are just fine, so don't be afraid to just try that. See you next time!
