How have you guys been? Okay, so this is the blog that I have been working on for... the last year. I know. Lame. But it took me some time to find out the real brands of every single first Callie's Picks release items. Why did I bother myself like that? Well... I personally prefer to collect the original counterparts of Callie's and sometimes Archive. If you like to do it too... you're in luck! In a desperate attempt to finish off the list, I asked the Stardoll Staff about the last two items. That day was a glorious day.

The first issue ever was released sometimes in October 2013 (correct me if I'm wrong) and it was called Tartan Obsession. There have been released quite a bunch of tributed from Gucci for example, and I remember talking to someone saying that people went crazy because an item they spent hundreds of SD were available for change money more or less.

I want to thank Stardoll Broadcast for being so awesome by taking screenshots of the items in the catalog when the store was first released. I will start counting down the items per outfits, using the main floor picture to visualize them. I included a picture of the few original scraps I acquired over time, but I found nobody with a full collection to take a picture of. Okay, ready?

 

From left to the right:

1st Outfit (in the back): Wild Child Tee (Fudge), Tartan Checked Tights (Junior Gaultier) and Black Flower Wedges (Evil Panda). They are all SD items.

 

2nd Outfit: Love In The City Crop Top (Olsenboye), Blimey Tartan Tutu (Evil Panda), Tartan Print Pants (Evil Panda), Multi Strap Stilettos (Evil Panda) and Sequin Striped Tote (Tingeling). The top, pants, and stilettos are originally in SC. Everything else is in SD.

3rd Outfit (in the back): Pink Tartan Coat (Pet a Porter), Mesh Bow Booties (Dolce and Gabbana Tribute) and Graphite Handbag (Lavin Tribute Paris). Again, SD items. They seem like a clutter of not-so-common items to me.

 

4th Outfit: Tartan Bomber Jacket (Versus Versace Tribute), Ivory Top with Tie (Junior Gaultier), Plaid Swish Skirt (Bonjour Bizou), Spike Trimmed Leggings (Tingeling Halloween Couture - I think it's simply called Tingeling Couture now), Red Tipped Tie Heels (VOILE Holiday Boutique) and Gold Case Satchel (Lavin Tribute Paris). Everything is originally in SD.

 

5th Outfit (in the back): Tartan Turban (Evil Panda), Tartan Dress Inspired by McQueen (Tingeling), Gold Belt (VOILE) and Black Gold Stilettos (Fallen Angel). The shoes and the belt are in SC for sure. The Callie version of the turban is in SC, but I'm really not sure about the original. And well... the dress in SD.

6th Outfit (in the back): Tartan Cap Sleeve Dress (Versus Versace Tribute), Tartan Tie Belt (Versus Versace Tribute), Tartan Pointed Heels (Versus Versace Tribute). In my lifetime I only came across the dress and managed to snatch it for 33 SD. I say it was a decent deal.

7th Outfit: Checked Shirt Dress (Bonjour Bizou), Flag Purse (Evil Panda - it's originally called Blimey Purse), Red Satin Steel Platforms (Bonjour Bizou) and Red Striped Socks (originally called Canada WWC Socks - Windows on the World). The socks and platforms are available in SC.

8th Outfit (in the back): Babydoll Sheer Dress (Pretty n' Love), Red Stripped Belt (originally called Red Linen Belt - Windows on the World), Amy Wedges (Jean Paul Gaultier Tribute) and Tartan Messenger Bag (JCPteen Freebie). The bag is a freebie but, it could have been inspired by an already existing item in the game. If so, let me know in the comments, I'm curious.

9th Outfit: Ruffle Hem Blouse (Bonjour Bizou), Tartan Wool Skirt (Bonjour Bizou), Fringe Boots (RIO Chicas) and Monogram Satchel (Gucci Tribute). From the whole list, I'm almost positive that the boots are in SC.

 

10th Outfit (in the back): Tartan Chain Dress (John Galliano Tribute), Checked Knee Socks (Miss Grant) and Fringe Peep Toes (ELLE). Everything's in SD.

 

11th Outfit (in the back): Plaid Silk Blouse (Versus Versace Tribute), Seattle Frayed Skirt (Bonjour Bizou) and Sevigny Heels (originally called Chloe Shoes - Bonjour Bizou). Everything's for SD, but the Callie version of the shoes are in SC.

 

12th Outfit: Gold Foil Plaid Dress (Pretty n' Love), Plaid Berret (Evil Panda), Petal Steel Toe Boots (Bonjour Bizou) and Baroness Box Clutch (RIO Chicas). From the whole list, the clutch is found in SC.

Done! Finally! Now, after seeing so many tributes, let it sink in that the most expensive item in the list was 26 SD. Yeah. And the Amy Wedges were sold for SC while being a rather uncommon tribute item.

 

The article is getting long, it's exactly 1:26 AM right now and I'm struggling to stay awake. But I really wanted to get this done right. The next blog might be... I don't know. Do you guys have any idea? I will think of something in the meanwhile. Maybe the second edition won't take that long. Or should I post BASICS again? The releases are kinda few.

 

In the meanwhile, maybe I will dream of some new ideas.
