Keeping track of your show week schedule can leave one dizzy but managing to cover the 6 or more events per night-all within a 2 hour time span-can instigate a social meltdown. Best bet is to schedule your fête itinerary per zone. So was the case the other night when ELLE mag hosted not one but TWO events in one evening. First stop was the Rock & Republic event at Saks Fifth Avenue hosted by designer Maria Buccellati and ELLE’s own Style Director, Kate Lanphear (I heard she is big in Japan).

The crowd was a perfect blend of uptown meets downtown, young fashion revelers in tarnished denim and chrome spiked leather wrist armor mingling with polished society girls clinching to their Birkin bag du jour and blinding diamond accessories. Eight blocks north it was off to the Stuart Weitzman flagship boutique to celebrate their new interior design concept by Fabio Novembre.

The whimsical bright space brought together downtown social staples Leigh Lezark, Genevieve Jones and Derek Blasberg amongst others. ELLE’s Accessories Editor Kyle Anderson chatted with the man of the hour, Mr. Stuart Weitzman, while admiring the one-of-a-kind celebrity designed shoes trying to exercise his editorial muscle to get them for an upcoming shoot.

The special edition shoes are are available to the highest bidder only till Sept. 30th and feature eccentric designs from the likes of Jessica Simpson, Blake Lively and Eva Longoria. All of the designs were incredible, the shoe I die for is designed by host Joy Bryant who shut it down with her graffiti tagged Weitzman pump.
