So with a new season of LE upon us, I thought I'd showcase a few ways in which we can replicate the trends that influenced the newest collection. This season was all about going back to basics and focused on a black and white monochromatic look.

Today I thought I'd share a few tips as to how you can style your doll in either all black or all white while still keeping it interesting!


 

The main thing to remember when creating a monochromatic outfit is the importance of texture.

If you utilise different textures in your outfit, you can create that differentiation between the different layers that allows the outfit to retain it's personality and intrigue.

Here, I've used a little bit of transparency with layering the bralette and the blouse, juxtaposing it with the leather skirt and this metallic YSL blazer.



When creating an all-white outfit, I feel like the technique is a little different.White can look very flat quite easily, so I like to cheat a little bit and use different shades of off-white to create an outfit that has a little more definition.

Here the outfit is more of a cream colour than stark white, however all of the pieces used have some kind of texture and detail.
