The camera lies

Hi dollies!

Today's post is about how what we see on social media and the internet, isn't necessarily the truth. Most images we see are manipulated and enhanced to show a 'picture perfect' image.

Many of you are aware of photoshopping, but even a 'beauty filter' that you may choose to add on to your selfie is slightly changing your eyes to be bigger, nose to be smaller, chin to be sharper and face to be clearer.

It's all fake.

It deeply saddens me to find out that there are people who will see these slight enhancements as something to aspire to.

At the Golden Globe awards, Kendall Jenner looked fabulous in a wonderful gown. She is a model, someone people aspire to look like, and she showed up with spots on her face and still looked amazing. In fact, it made her more real and beautiful because she didn't hide it.

You may have imperfections, we all do. Just remember to take pride in your acne, your eczema, your oily skin & your blemishes. It's what makes you human - and beautiful.
