ELLE & ELLE girl

Being rich and famous affords celebs a certain amount of royalties, so it makes sense that they’d want to share the love. Some choose to find a partner or start a family, but many decide to pass on their privileged lifestyles to a more docile companion: a pet! From Rihanna to the POTUS, we’ve rounded up the most famous (and privileged) animal offspring of our favorite stars below (you won’t believe how luxuriously these critters live!).

Name: Daisy Breed: Maltipoo Owner: Jessica Simpson

    Photo: Getty Images

Jessica brings her beloved Maltipoo Daisy wherever she goes—including paid appearances. The pup is pictured above keeping her owner company during an autograph signing at Dillard’s in Frisco, Texas (and judging by how much attention she’s getting, she may have even signed a few herself!).

Name: Oliver Breed: Maltipoo Owner: Rihanna

    Photo: Getty Images

Also the proud owner of a Maltipoo, Rihanna carried her canine friend Oliver along for a taping of Late Show with David Letterman. And the singer doesn’t discriminate: Oliver may get to visit TV studios, but her other dog gets pampered with minx manicures. Name: Bo

Breed: Portuguese Water Dog Owner: The Obama’s

    Photo: Getty Images

The First Dog, given to the Obama’s as a gift, is a rare breed with a thick and fleecy coat. This puppy enjoys regularly strolls on the White House lawns, and even has his own White House portrait.

Name: Tinkerbell Breed: Chihuahua Owner: Paris Hilton

Photo: Getty Images Paris Hilton loves her teacup Chihuahua so much that she would do anything for her, including offer a $5,000 reward for when she goes missing.

Name: George Breed: Mutt Owner: Ryan Gosling

    Photo: Getty Images

Ryan Gosling also brought his dog to a talk show, shown here at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last summer. Gos said the mutt looks as if “Jim Henson made him,” and now that we think about it, George does kind of resemble a Muppet—but his mohawk (and little red sock!) are just as adorable as the actor himself.

Name: Happy Breed: Rottweiler-beagle Owner: Miley Cyrus

    Photo: Getty Images

The singer brought home this puppy—her fourth dog—after finding him in a box outside a Walmart. A far cry from a discount department store, Happy now travels with his owner to tropical locales like Miami, Florida.

Name: Lupo Breed: Cocker Spaniel Owner: Prince William and Catherine Middleton

    Photo: Getty Images

It didn’t take long for this little guy to get the royal treatment. Soon after William and Kate welcomed their four-legged friend, he began accompanying the couple to polo matches and on long walks on the beach.

Name: Choupette Breed: Siamese Owner: Karl Lagerfeld

    Photo: Courtesy of Twitter

Karl Lagerfeld’s kitten is spoiled rotten (would you expect otherwise?). Choupette has not one, but two personal maids keeping a diary of her every move, and she’s tech-savvy too: Lagerfeld told WWD that Choupette knows how to use an iPad, and he even tweeted proof. As expected, this cat diva now has her own Twitter handle (and over 7,000 followers!).

Photo: Getty Images Tory Burch has a couple of firsts on the horizon: she’s launching her debut fragrance, “Tory Burch,” with Estée Lauder in Fall 2013, and to mark the occasion, will do her first ad campaign, WWD reports. More Tory Burch newness may soon be on the way: “I would love to do a Sport concept,” the designer told the trade, adding that she envisions the line to be for running, yoga, tennis, and golf activewear. While “there’s nothing in the works” currently, Burch foresees the collection landing in its own freestanding store. Also on the wishlist? A home collection (“We’ve tried some home for gift-giving, but not as a collection,” Burch told WWD.), costume jewelry, and watches.

Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s spotty collaboration with Louis Vuitton is about to get seven dotty temporary homes. WWD reports that the French house is celebrating the partnership with pop-up boutiques placed around the world, the first of which will debut in New York’s SoHo on July 10. Outposts inside or near Vuitton stores at Hong Kong’s Pacific Place, Ngee Ann City in Singapore, the new Dover Street Market in Ginza, and Isetan’s Shinjuku branch in Tokyo are planned in the weeks that follow, and the launch will climax on August 23 and August 24 with large-scale installations at Printemps in Paris and Selfridges in London. For those who can’t make it to these destinations, the pieces will also be sold at all of the brand’s 463 boutiques. Expect spot-covered silk pajamas, trenchcoats, necklaces, and bags. And come October 1, a second round of leathered accessories will drop, embossed with Kusama’s tentaclelike “nerves” motif.

Nicole Richie, who has already succeeded at designing both jewelry and clothing, is now releasing her very own fragrance. The scent, which was inspired by her mother’s aroma, will hit stores in September. WWD. Jemima Kirke, who plays Jessa on HBO’s Girls, is pregnant! It’s the actress’ second child. E! Online. Hermes Birkin bags are the epitome of luxe fashion in many minds, and with a price tag of $100,000, it makes sense. The brand is so obsessed with perfection when it comes to the Birkin that they allegedly set the bags on fire if there is even one tiny imperfection. Telegraph. Justin Beiber’s new album Believe was released on Tuesday, and to celebrate, the singer had a release party with friends and family at Sons of Essex in NYC. The party was complete with truffle pizza and mocktails (21 is still a ways off!) named after his hit songs. People. Mulberry is channeling their inner child in their latest campaign ad. The collection is being featured in photos inspired by the book/movie Where the Wild Things Are. Fashion Copious.

Jennifer Lawrence may be up to her ears in work, preparing to shoot two big film franchises this summer and fall, but the actress hasn’t let her hectic schedule get in the way of her style. The 21-year-old actress stepped out in Santa Monica, California wearing an easy breezy white romper and her signature bowler hat—a playful pairing that can carry any girl from afternoon to night. The playsuit may have been a childhood favorite once upon a time, but this sweet little number is back with a vengeance for spring/summer. Michael Kors introduced a luxe tailored version as the first look of his resort collection, and Marc By Marc Jacobs and Jenni Kayne both gave a subtle nod to the trend by pairing shorts and tops of the same color. Take a cue from Jennifer and dress up this casual look with a sleek pair of metallic sandals and a leather motorcycle jacket. Try these fun and flirty pieces on for size:

Mulberry just opened its first freestanding store on the west coast—in downtown San Francisco. The brand’s Baywaters and Alexas—plus creative director Emma Hill’s shoes and womenswear—will be housed within the three-floor, 3,100 square foot traditional nineteenth century building near the city’s shopping-centric Union Square. But the store is about more than just retail therapy. “We have also created a second floor gallery space for pop up exhibitions and collaborative projects,” says Bruno Guillon, Mulberry’s CEO. Photo: Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs made an appearance on South Park last November, reincarnated as Cartman’s “Muscle Man Marc” stuffed doll. Shortly after, the South Park tribute became a permanent part of the designer, when he had his cartoon doll likeness tattooed on his forearm. The lovefest didn’t stop there: earlier this year, Jacobs collaborated with the TV show on a round of Kenny, Kyle, Stan, and Cartman tees, putting the four characters in his West Village store windows. And now, it’s come full-circle: Jacobs and South Park have teamed up again to offer a 12-inch, limited-edition Muscle Man Marc doll, exclusively available at Marc Jacobs boutiques worldwide and at marcjacobs.com.

At last night’s 14th Annual Young Hollywood Awards, red carpet styles ranged from ladylike dresses to sleek pantsuits. Wearing the former were Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, in head-to-toe Miu Miu, and Ginnifer Goodwin, who opted for a piece from Monique Lhuillier’s Resort 2013 collection. On the opposite side of the spectrum were Ashley Greene and Hailee Steinfeld, who wore Donna Karan and Prabal Gurung designs, respectively. See their outfits after the jump!

The extravagant, $8 million custom train that formed the set for Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2012 show is back for the collection’s campaign, marking the first time Vuitton has illustrated the exact ambiance of its show in the accompanying ads. “We wanted to continue the journey we started with the fashion show,” Marc Jacobs explained, adding that he hoped to evoke “the glamour of travel and the romance of going somewhere” in the images. Steven Meisel shot ten female models and four male porters in a reconstruction of the Louis Vuitton Express in a New York studio, WWD reports. Next, the train heads to Shanghai for gala marking the opening of Vuitton’s first maison in China. See more campaign images after the cut. Photo: WWD Photo: WWD

Photo: Getty Images Narciso Rodriguez, who collaborated with eBay two years ago, has a new partnership in the works: this time, with Kohl’s. The designer—favored by Julianne Margulies, Claire Danes, and Michelle Obama, and recently worn by Emma Stone to the Tonys—is working on a limited-run capsule collection with the retailer, WWD reports. It is expected to be unveiled soon. Although no further details have been released yet, the collection is reportedly serving as a kickoff for a series of designer collaborations at Kohl’s this fall. This is not the first time the mass retailer has dipped into the fashion world: it’s had a more long-term partnership going with Vera Wang since 2007, on her Simply Vera Vera Wang line.
