3 Ways To Wear… Oversized Outerwear

Oversized outerwear is one of my favourite trends! It was seen on many catwalks (both spring/summer and autumn/winter), and is of course perfect for transitioning weather as there's loads of room to layer up underneath!

Starting off with denim jackets, these are definitely best when slightly baggy. I styled mine with double denim (of course), but if you don't want to go for the same colour denim, black jeans would work too. Another key part to my outfits is the DIY aspect. DIY denim has been a huge trend this year, and I achieved it with the cut-off Vetements jeans, paint-splat bag and star print jeans.

My next outfits are a lot more tailored and feature the classic blazer. The oversized tailoring look is very popular with Rihanna. I kept both looks quite minimal due to the boxy structure of the blazers. With the first look I added a pop of colour with the Vetements DHL t-shirt, and with the second look I paired the blazer with some silk pants, a printed bandeau top (a silk or lace camisole would work well too), silver hoops and a mini handbag.

Lastly, these looks are all about the Bomber and Puffer jacket! This style has been everywhere this year, and on many catwalks, from Yeezy and Hood By Air to Balenciaga. My favourite way to wear is over a contrasting piece, such as the slip dress and baby t-shirt in the first outfit. With the last look I was inspired by Mathilda from Léon: The Professional, with the striped t-shirt, choker and chunky boots. The mom jeans work perfectly with the carefree and comfy look.

Thank you for reading! Which look was your favourite?
